How you shutdown your Windows 7? Most people will shutdown Windows 7 from Shutdown button that can find after click Start button from Windows 7 taskbar. I do the same thing too but sometimes I do it from command prompt for special purpose.
Windows 7 use shutdown.exe to turn off the computer and if you run it from command prompt you can shutdown your computer as usual or you can use its special purpose such timer that you can set when you want it to shutdown. To know it more just open your Windows 7 command prompt and type: shutdown /? and it will show some command of shutdown.
From that command syntax then you can do some special purpose command. These are examples that I use sometimes:
1. When you want set shutdown timer 1 hour later you can easily type : shutdown /s /t 3600
2. Maybe you want to change the timer during time-out period just type: shutdown /a
3. If you want to shutdown remote computer you can type: shutdown /m \\computername

There are many people love Facebook too much and most of them like to chat, update status or anything on Facebook. For all Facebook fans should thanks to Facebook team that have announced standalone messenger for Facebook that you can use as popular Yahoo messenger or MSN messenger.
Today it is available for Windows and they don’t provide offline version but I hope someday they will as you know because I always prefer offline version. But don’t wait too long just let us try this online version and here is the way:
1. Access Facebook Messenger page.
2. Click Install Now to download an online installer.
3. If it is done you will have FacebookMessengerSetup.exe file in you computer and double click to run an installation.
4. If you enable UAC it will ask your permission and click Yes.
5. Please wait during the installation.
6. After done automatically it will run.
7. Login with your Facebook ID.

Access Gmail Offline from Chrome
Some people need to access their mail even he/she doesn’t connect to internet. For that purpose most of them could use email client such Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. But if you are a Gmail user, you can use its offline version with Google Chrome apps which it offer read, write and archive as online version.
If you want to try it you come to right place because I will share you how to access your Gmail even you don’t connect to internet and here is how:
1. Access Offline Google Mail application.
2. Sign in with your Google account.
3. Add or install Offline Google mail to your Chrome.
4. Once it is finished automatically will open new tab with Offline Google Mail application available on your Chrome apps list.
5. Click it.
6. First run it will ask you to allow or don’t allow offline mail and just check Allow offline mail and next click Continue.
7. It will show your Gmail inbox.
8. Next close your Gmail tab and disconnect your internet to try Gmail offline.
9. Open new tab and launch Offline Google Mail application.
Surely you will see your Gmail inbox that you can read offline, stars and label any email even you can compose new message but it will send when you connect to internet. Remember all data from your Gmail are stored in your computer so for security purpose maybe you want to delete your offline inbox so just access chrome://settings/cookies from Chrome address bar and delete all thing about “mail.google.com”. How do I Download Facebook Album
Since there are many services offer free online storage such Google Drive, DropBox, SkyDrive maybe you want to save your Facebook pictures to there. I have moved some of pictures from my Facebook to Google drive. Do manual way save picture one by one will take long time so for save your time I will share you how do I download Facebook album with a few clicks.
To download Facebook album I use PhotoLive script that you can use as bookmark for most popular browser. To use it just go to PhotoLive website and just drag Download Photos button to your Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome or Safari bookmark and Internet Explorer users need to add it to Favorites. Another way I just try to save the script below that taken from Download Photos button and just add it as new bookmark page to what browser I still use.

After that I just locate Facebook album that I want to download and then click Download Photos link from bookmark or favorites bar and it will show PhotoLive Download Album button below of Facebook main bar and click it to start download the album.

To view of my album I just extract the ZIP file to my computer or sometime just extract it to my Google Drive synchronization folder. You can follow my way if you want to do it too and enjoy it!
How to Block Emails on Gmail
There are some reasons why you want to block any emails from the others. Maybe because someone always tries to bother you even you have warned him/her or maybe you subscribe to any website mailing list but when you want to remove it, you don’t find unsubscribe link. Whatever your reason to block emails, in this post I will share you how to do it for Gmail user.
In my previous post I have provided how to block emails on Yahoo which Yahoo have a special feature to block any address but Gmail just provide filter feature that you can set to filter and delete any message so you will never view it that has a similar function as to block any emails. Here is the way how to block emails on Gmail:
1. Sign in to your Gmail.
2. From searching form click triangle drop down menu aka Show search option.
3. Type what email address that you want to block in From form. You can type just one address there but if you want to block some emails just separate it with ; so you can easily block some email with just one filter.
4. Next click Create Filter with this search >>.
5. Check Delete it.
6. Click Create Filter.
Surely since you have created that filter then you will not receive any mail from address that you have blocked. Someday when you want to unlock any address just click Gear menu and click Settings and click Filters tab and you will find Gmail filters that you have created before and you can edit or delete it. How to Access Google Drive Offline
If you previously use Google Doc and move to Google Drive you must have some file on your Google Drive. But after synchronize with Google Drive folder on your PC maybe you will not like this Google service because you will find only shortcut to access any file on your Google service so you must online to access them.
Don’t be mad about it because you still access it offline but you need to setup it and access it from Google Chrome. You just find a link to setup for offline access so you need to access your Google Drive from Google Chrome and click Gear drop down menu and click Set up Docs Offline beta than click Allow offline doc then click Install from Chrome web store.
It will bring you to Google Docs Chrome application and you need to click ADD TO CHROME.
It needs your confirmation to access data and click Add and after done you can click LAUNCH APP. It will bring you back to Google Drive and automatically preparing offline docs.
After preparing offline docs is done you can prove it work or not with going offline and try to access Google Drive or Google Docs from your Google Chrome and surely it will show your Google Drive content. Maybe this offline mode doesn’t provide many feature such editor or security because it still in beta version. Enjoy it!
How do I use Google Drive on Windows 7
Google has launched its new services called Google Drive and I want to try this service because Google offers 5 GB free space. To use this service you need to have Google account that you can use for all Google service.
In this post I will share what how I use Google Drive from my Windows 7. First thing I just go to Google Drive and sign in with my Google account and it will ask me to try the new interface that we knew Google Docs is an old interface and just click that link. 
After in the new interface it will ask me to download Google Drive for PC so I download it. Next I try to install it but as modern software it provides online installation so I cancel it because I prefer to use offline installer. If you are same with me so you can download Google Drive offline installer (11.5 MB) and then install it to your Windows 7.
After installation is done I try to find Google Drive program files and click it and need to sign in so I submit my Google ID and my password and then it will show Welcome to Google Drive.
Then I click Next so it will bring me to setup page and I click Advance setup and I click Change to change default folder of my Google drive synchronization.
Next I need to click Start Sync and wait until it is finished. After synchronization is finished I find some shortcut of Google Drive document on my Windows 7. I am trying to add any image file to my Google drive folder on Windows 7 and automatically it will available on my Google Drive account. If you want to use Google Drive too, you can follow my way. How to Flush DNS Cache on Windows 7
Most of modern system operations hold DNS record as DNS cache to speed up connection at second and more requests to same host. Windows 7 as modern system operation adopt this technology too. But sometime DNC cache can make a bad request for specific host and to solve it maybe you need to clear all record in DNS cache.
In this post I will share how to do it or in another word some people call it flush DNS. But before I tell you how to flush DNS cache on Windows 7, I will tell you how to view DNS cache on your Windows 7. Just open Windows 7 command prompt that your can open from Start button from taskbar and type cmd on search form and click cmd.exe. It will open command prompt window and type: ipconfig /displaydns then press Enter.
Surely it will show data that contain host name, CName record or A record (IP address). After you view some record in DNS cache and then you need to clear or to flush it that you still can do from command prompt so just type: ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
After clear the record please view DNS cache again and surely you will not find anything on it. Enjoy it!
Access Hidden Windows 7 Themes
Windows 7 provides seven aero themes that you can access easily from personalization at your desktop. One of those themes is provided base on your language, time and currency format that you have chosen first time at Windows 7 installation for example if you choose English as language and English (United States) as time and currency format, Windows 7 will provide United States theme.
Actually Windows 7 provides some location themes but it hidden them deeply even you can’t access it if you just with show hidden file or folder. Don’t be mad about it because it is easy to access it and if you really want to use those hidden themes just access a location. How to do it? Just copy this address: C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT and paste it in address bar of Window Explorer and just explore what inside.
What can you do with those hidden theme? You can use it as a theme or you can take wallpaper from it. For example just dig MCT-AU folder and click Australia folder and surely you will find some jpg wallpaper that you can use and if you want to use it as theme just click Theme folder from MCT-AU folder and double click AU.theme and it will install Australia theme for your Windows 7. Next you can explore the other international themes. Enjoy it!
How to Install WordPress Locally on Windows 7
After you setup local Apache webserver, PHP and MySql on your Windows 7, you should try WordPress locally too. I use WordPress mostly for all my blog and when I need to tweak any themes I just try it first locally on my Windows 7.
Here in this post I will share how to install WordPress locally on Windows 7. First you need to download Worpress and I prefer zip file because you can extract it easily in Windows 7. Then you need to extract it to C:/apache/httdocs and then you can access localhost/wordpress from your browser but first time maybe it will show just a directory list. Actually if you want to access localhost/wordpress it will show you localhost/wordpress/index.php so to make it happen you need to configure Apache http.conf. Just access it from Start button and clik All Program and dig Apache HTTP server 2.2 until you find edit the Apache http.conf Configuration File and click it. Try to find “DirectoryIndex index.html” and edit it to become “DirectoryIndex index.html index.php”.
Try to access localhost/wordpress from your browser again and it will ask you to create wp-config.php file as WordPress configuration file. Just browser wordpress folder from Windows explorer and open wp-config-sample.php and edit three row in the file so it look like this below code and then save as wp-config.php

From that configuration you will use wp as database, so you need to create wp dabase first that you can create manually. To create it just click Start button and click All Program and dig MySql until you find MySql command line client and click it and it will open MySql.exe and submit your root password then at mysql command prompt just type> create database wp; and press enter to create wp database.
You have meet all requirement and then try to access localhost/wordpress from browser again and it will show WordPress installation page that you can fill whatever you want for your local blog and next click Install WordPress.
If it is done you can try to login to your local WordPress blog. Enjoy it!
